Why to use aerial footage?

Aerial shots used to be reserved only for big productions, but in the last decade drone technology has advanced to the point that nowadays good event aftermovies use them for establishing shots, real estate brokers use them to make their listings stand out, and engineers can use drone photos to measure and plan things out. Drone shots elevate the production value of your project by showing the viewer the world from a bird’s eye view instead of what we are used to seeing.

Today’s FPV (First-person-view) drones allow for even more immersive experience, as the paired goggles allow the manually controlled drones to also fly indoors, through tight obstacles, around people and cars, making high-paced chasing shots and beautiful one-shot house tours a reality. This is not something everybody can replicate.

We are fully certified to fly.

We hold European A1/A3 and A2 drone licences, and also fly FPV drones for those fast-paced action shots. A2 category allows us to also fly the more heavy (C2 category) professional drones closer to uninvolved persons.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

The price of a video depends on a lot of different factors.

  1. If needed, who does the pre-production - scriptwriting and storyboarding, location scouting, talent search?
  2. When and where is the shooting taking place?
  3. What kind of gear does the shoot require? Does it require hours to set-up and pack down or not?
  4. Can it actually be done by one person or does it require a whole team?
  5. How time-consuming is the editing process? - Will it need motion graphics, special effects, subtitles, alternative size formats? Has the music already been found?
  6. Do you want to keep the raw clips? (External hard drives and cloud memory stack up fast)

So get in touch, let's figure out what you actually need and can afford, and then we'll put together a detailed price offer.

What does the process look like?

There are 5 phases:

  1. Pre-production - we figure out what exactly it is that you need and then put together an action plan for that.
  2. Film production - we shoot on location. This could be at your office, event, in a studio setting, somewhere outdoors and so on.
  3. Post-production - editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, etc.
  4. Finishing touches - you can ask for changes and corrections on the edit. If needed, we can shoot additional clips.
  5. Distribution - where, when and how is the product shared with viewers? It might need special licences for certain platforms. Does it require stills, thumbnails, copywriting to go along with the video?

Is it safe?

It depends.

We hold the European basic A1/A3 and more advanced A2 unmanned aircraft licences, keep up to date with regulations and guidelines, and practice regularly in a simulator and the real world.

  1. But drones are still flying objects that can fall out of the sky. Even though the technology is quite advanced nowadays, accidents can still happen due to loss of signal, birds attacking the aircraft, etc.
  2. When attempting difficult flights such as high-speed fly-throughs minor crashes can happen. We try to choose the best drones for the task at hand, for example FPV drones with propeller guards when flying around people and expensive objects.

What kind of gear do you use?
We use modern professional drones by DJI to guarantee safety and clear picture quality.
In our current daily line-up we have the DJI Avata 2 and DJI Mini 3 Pro. And can rent and fly C2 category drones such as the Mavic 4 Pro with zooming capabilities.

We regularly invest in new, improved gear to keep up with the industry standards.

Can you edit videos?
We offer full production services, so yes, we can both shoot and edit for you according to your needs.
